# Snagit

Screenshot and screen recording app for Windows and macOS that records webcam and system audio and shares by link.

66 points out of 100. #4 of 9 screen recorders. Vendor: TechSmith Corporation. Website: https://www.techsmith.com/snagit/

- Snagit Individual costs €39.56 a year, billed yearly, with a 14-day money-back guarantee [1].
- Records screen, microphone, system audio and webcam [2].
- TechSmith lists screen recording at up to 4K and unlimited 4K/60fps recordings [3].
- Live drawing adds arrows, shapes and step numbers on screen while recording [3].
- There is no free version, only a 15-day trial [4].

Verdict: Snagit suits people who capture screenshots and short how-to videos and want to mark up the screen as they record [2][3]. It records webcam, microphone and system audio, trims clips, and shares by link or through Screencast [2][3]. The catch: there is no free version beyond a 15-day trial, and it runs only on Windows and macOS [1][4]. Best for: People who mix screenshots and short screen videos for guides and feedback.

Status: TechSmith now brands Snagit as Camtasia Snagit, part of its Camtasia suite, and includes it in every Camtasia plan [2][3].
